Christmas Day...couldnt come fast enough

As the years pass us by Christmas is beginning to be just as or even more exciting for Josh and I then for the kids. We were just dying with anticipation on watching the kids open up their presents and watching their faces light up with delight. After Dana’s we headed back up to my parents to get the kids to bed and prepare for Santa’s arrival. We started the tradition 1-2 years ago on spending the night at my parents so they can also see the kids strut their stuff down the stairs to see what Santa has brought them. We…well let me say Emily got up at 7am and then woke the rest of us up so she can check out what SANTA brought her. Caleb didn’t get up till 7:30ish (after a restless night and a 6am bottle time) I think this child will never ever sleep through the night. My grandpa (Cranpa) arrived at my mom’s around 7:15ish just moments after Emily walked down stairs. He wanted to see the kids open their presents…how sweet is that. After opening our stalkings we started in on our presents, did a group picture of all of us wearing our NEW handmade jammies by my mom (Grandma’s Jammies) and then ate our traditional biscuits, gravy & eggs. Yeah talk about having a lead brick in your stomach ALL DAY. This year Josh decided he wanted to give my parents a day off and prepare our Christmas feast himself. He kept it a surprise from everyone on what was on the menu (until he started preparing it of course). We had a Honey Baked Ham, a rack of Pork Ribs filled with Walnut Cranberry Apple stuffing, Scalloped Potatoes (my mom’s specialty she prepared), and I made Candied Yams, Green Bean Casserole & Corn Pudding. Unfortunately the pork didn’t cook in time because Josh underestimated the cooking time but you live and you learn. So we ate our dinner with Ham while our pork finished cooking and we got to enjoy that the next day. I do have to say Josh is a fantastic cook and it’s his new hobby on whipping us up some yummy eats and finding new recipes to try. I love you man!

What are you doing

So Josh sent me these pictures yesterday while I was at work. He said Caleb was really quite and this is what he found him getting into! Sister's dress up stuff. We have them tucked away in a drawer so he CAN'T get them….well there went that. His new thing is to climb in the drawer and then onto her bed.

Saturday morning

Saturday morning it was rainy and cold. Josh wanted to have some one on one time with his Jeep so the kids and I stayed in, listened to some music, folded laundry and of course I took more pictures.
