Bodie Ghost Town here we come! It's been years since I've been back to Bodie and Josh has never been, so we took the kids and explored.

  Old rocking chair in one of the houses  The kids walking up to the church  Money in a pan on the church floor  It amazes me how these buildings are still standing, some are now used as Ranger Housing    Dogs are only allowed on the trails (which we obeyed). The kids and I are exploring and all of a sudden I hear Josh yelling my name.  So I rush over and Josh tells me how these sparrows have dive bombing and teasing Savannah. Josh notices Savannah lunge, he looks down and sees she has a bird in her mouth. He doesn’t know if she actually caught it mid air or if it was already on the ground, unfortunately for the bird there’s now another ghost in Bodie.     The wagon wheels were huge!  Caleb was NOT happy that I made him sit in the grass and take this picture. Gosh I'm such a mean mom!       This is how I roll      I have a picture from when I was in 6th/7th grade in front of an outhouse at Bodie  Horseshoe Lake    Buddies  Splashing around  After Bodie we let the kids play at Horseshoe lake and then went out to dinner at a good BBQ place in the Village.   |
