You smell like carrots!

So last Friday as we were passing the LONG...LONG line to see the Easter Bunny, Emily asks Josh if she can go and see him. Josh begins to tell her that she smells like carrots and the Easter Bunny might bite her. Gotta love daddies!


*But I will admit that this is something my OWN dad would have said to me when I was growing up...and me being gullible I would have believed him*

He once told me that while I was out Scooby Doo came by to visit and left a surprise for me on the front lawn (a turd!) OR New Kids on the Block stopped by and left a surprise for me in the toilet…yeah another turd! Thanks dad!

We had a nice and relaxing Easter. My grandpa, Dana and Aaron came for dinner. We had a bean bag (aka corn hole) championship and my dad and Dana were undefeated. We also were a rocking and a rolling to the 7.2 earthquake centered in Mexico.

My "official" birthday

I took my birthday off so I could "try" and sleep in, lounge around & have breakfast with the family and just enjoy some time off...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! I started my day off with yummy breakfast made by my personal chef Josh, then off to get my hair colored and cut, shopping time with Emily and then an amazing dinner by Josh. Oh can't forget the cake!

It's my birthday and I can cry if I want to

My pre birthday weekend was fun filled. We had Suzanne and Denise over for dinner and drinks on Friday, then Saturday we had the fam and friends over for some yummy dinner & cake. Thanks guys for helping me kick off my 28th!

It’s my birthday and I can cry if I want to…and yes I did just that. I had a great day don’t get me wrong. After cake and presents Guinness slipped on a step and started screaming which pretty much did me in. I keep thinking “are we doing the right thing” or “am I being selfish not wanting to let go”. I don’t think it’s time yet but I don’t even want that time to come. Words can’t even describe how much I love that dog. She’s still Guinness, slowed down a bit, eating a ton (especially by Caleb sharing every meal with her) and still so happy to see us. I know the time will come and I will have to put my selfishness aside and say goodbye but I know for damn sure there will be more tears shed.
